Arnold & Henderson: Rochelle Canteen, Events and Catering
Rochelle Canteen in Arnold Circus is run by Melanie Arnold & Margot Henderson, it is also the home of their event catering company and offices.
In 2017 they opened a second site within the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Rochelle ICA is a restaurant and all day bar, Arnold & Henderson also runs all in-house catering.

Even though it’s in the historic Boundary Estate, one of the earliest social housing schemes, and the menu features mince and tatties, you get the distinct sense it’s deliberately keeping out People Like You.
There’s an air of effortlessness that’s contrarily hard to achieve: salad of roast lamb sounds like a dreary Monday lunch of leftovers, but is wonderfully tender, rosemary-fragranced meat and perky leaves slicked with the umami hum of green herbs and anchovy.
Even hefty stuff is delivered with a light touch: that mince and tatties delivers fine beef, all dark, resonant savouriness (is there a touch of clove?)
Just-crisp sweetbreads, creamy inside, bob about in a buttery playground of new green vegetables, peas and wilted little gem lettuce.
